IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FIT THE PROPER SIZE OF THE RING BEFORE BUYING IT
There are a few ways to fit the size of a ring or a band ring.
- The best way is to go to the nearest jeweller and check the size of the ring using a typical finger ring sizer.
- Another way that is good as well is chcecking the ring size that you have at the jeweller's. MAKE SURE WHAT SCALE THE SIZE IS GIVEN.
- In order to fit the proper size you can use a slice calliper too which is ideal to measure the size on the basis of the product that you have.
A ring or a band ring that is measured should be ideally round and cannot be deformed in any way. The internal diameter needs to be measured and then the right size can be found using a table below. You should not measure a finger with a slice calliper because it is squeezed and the measurement is inappropriate.
If you do not have a slice calliper (that helps to measure the internal diameter of a ring fast and properly), I suggest using a ruler. However, such type of measurement is imprecise and can only be treated as an approximate estimate.
The precise measurement is very important because one size means 0,33 mm of the difference in a diameter.
In our shop we use a European size for every item and we also give a diameter size in millimetres.
THINGS TO CONSIDER CHOOSING THE SIZE
- If you have fingers with protruding knuckles in joints, it is good to choose the size that does not go through the bone with ease. Later such a ring does not rotate on your finger (that can be troublesome/uncomfortable, especially in a protruding stone style).
- When our fingers do not have knuckles that protrude visibly and they have wide finger bases, you should fit the size in such a way, it does not go into your body. At the same time it cannot be too loose because the ring can slide down from your finger.
- If you buy a wide wedding band (8-13 mm wide), I suggest choosing a bit bigger size than usually – about one or two sizes. A finger is encircled by the band ring on a great width.
- There are also factors that can make the measurement inappropriate ( both before buying it and after receiving the ordered item) such as:
- -the air temperature (hands tend to be more puffy in summer and they shrink a little when it is cold)
- =individual features (shrunk hands after hard physical effort or when salt keeps water in the body, during pregnancy etc.)
When you fit the size of the ring, you must take into account things mentioned above in order to avoid disappointment. You should consider them too if the product does not fit even slightly. But at the same time you must remember, you should not feel any discomfort due to the jewellery or fear that you will lose it.
